The Biacore 3000 is the workhorse of the BIA Core’s instrument fleet. Our facility offers two of these platforms which are utilized for routine analyses as it provides suitable sensitivity (down to 10 RU) for both screening and kinetics/affinity applications. The 3000 is equipped with an autosampler, and the integrated microfluidic cartridge utilizes 4 serial flow cells allowing for simultaneous detection of up to 4 interactions per injection cycle (1 reference and 3 experimental ligands). The 3000 is used primarily for Sample Submission but can be available for Independent Use on an as-needed basis.
