DHVI Flow Cytometry Facility

The Duke Human Vaccine Institute Flow Cytometry Facility serves the analytical and cell sorting needs of the DHVI and researchers throughout the Duke community. The DHVI Flow Facility offers state-of-the-art cytometric support to investigators in basic, developmental, and clinical research.

The Duke Human Vaccine Institute Flow Cytometry Facility instruments are capable of performing BSL-1 through BSL-3 live cell sorting as well as high dimensional phenotyping. The facility has labs on Duke's main campus (MSRB2 and GHRB) as well as a lab at the Duke Research and Discovery @RTP campus.

We have three cell sorters (two BDSymphony S6 and a BD Aria II) that are operated by facility staff or by trained independent users. We have six cell analyzers (BD FACSDiscover A8, BD FACSymphony A5, BD LSRII, BD LSRFortessa, and an iQue Screener PLUS) available 24/7 for trained users. The facility also has two Muse Cell Counters.
