I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Smith Lab, studying how host and pathogen genetic diversity lead to diverse clinical outcomes for tuberculosis patients. To do this, we infect genetically diverse mice with engineered Mycobacterium tuberculosis mutants and clinical isolates to dissect the host-pathogen interface.
