DHVI team members continue to put forth a tremendous effort to rapidly move scientific discovery process forward. Our faculty and staff understand the urgency and need for collaboration while working in a constantly evolving environment full of challenges both economic and scientific. Their hard work has translated into many important discoveries and contributions in the areas of mucosal and systemic virology, molecular biology, microbiology and animal models. I am very appreciative of their continued dedication to the mission of the DHVI.
I would also like to thank our numerous collaborators for their invaluable assistance. Only through these partnerships, can we effectively respond to the major infectious diseases that threaten the health of our nation and world.
Moving forward, the DHVI is well-positioned to respond to new challenges in the development of vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics. Working together in the spirit of collaboration and information sharing, our team members continue to ask the critical questions that need to be addressed and this talented team are certain to continue to make contributions to our understanding of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
